Custom websites, hosting and care from a Richmond studio, built to load fast, get found and keep working.
A website should work like part of your sales team, not sit there like a brochure.
Here's how we build them.
We define the site's job, whether that's booking calls, qualifying leads or recruiting, before we design anything.
Every page answers the next question and points visitors to a call or a form.
Your colors, type and voice stay consistent from the first click to the signed contract.
We answer what they actually ask, in the words they use.
We build SEO and GEO into every site so Google and AI tools cite you as the authority in your field.
Your domain and Google listing stay in your name, and we'll guide you through setting them up.

Search, Maps and AI answers all pull from your website. We build for every one of them, and keep it current.
Google ranks pages it can load fast and understand.
Most customers start with a search and rarely look past the first few results, so landing on that first page is most of the battle.
iWhat this does for your site
Each service you offer gets its own page, with its own title and description, written the way your customers search and built to pass Google’s speed test on a phone.

Nearby searches go to businesses whose details agree everywhere.
Search “near me” and Google shows a map with a handful of businesses before any website. Being on that map can matter more than ranking in the results.
iWhat this does for your site
We match your site to your Google Business Profile word for word and tell Google the same thing in code, and we'll flag anything on your profile that needs fixing.

ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI quote sources that state facts plainly.
More people now ask an AI who to hire instead of scrolling through results, and it names only a few businesses.
iWhat this does for your site
We write what you do, where, since when and for whom as plain sentences an AI can quote, and answer the questions your customers actually ask.

The deciding click usually happens here.
People check them before they call, and a business with no reviews looks like a gamble.
iWhat this does for your site
We add a one-tap review link to your site and follow-up emails, and show your best real reviews on the pages where people decide.
Search keeps changing. Sites that sit still slide.
A site that was built right two years ago can quietly lose ground, and most owners don’t notice until the calls slow down.

On a care plan we handle updates, speed checks, new customer questions and listings kept in sync every month, so the site keeps bringing in work.

Who
I'm Christian. I've spent the last six years designing and building websites for construction companies, local businesses, non-profits, universities, and more.
Why
A website shouldn't just sit there looking nice. It should answer questions, earn trust and bring in work, and still be doing that a year after launch. I started Toadstool to build sites that pull their weight as part of a business's marketing, and to be the person my clients can call about the rest of their online questions too.
Tell us about your business and what you need, and we'll follow up to set up a conversation.
